We’d love for everyone to join us at Backroads, but we understand that sometimes things just don’t go to plan.
If you’re a participant who is needing to withdraw, please see your options below.

Refunds
Participants are entitled to a refund, provided they purchased the Change of Heart Policy. This Policy is only valid if purchased at the time of entry and cannot be added afterwards.
Participants who purchased the Change of Heart Policy and are needing to withdraw, will need to notify us in writing no later than one hour prior to their advertised start time.
To notify us, please email us at backroads@theeventteam.com.au with your request.
Participants who did not purchase the Change of Heart Policy are ineligible for a refund. In this case, we suggest opting for an entry transfer.
Defer to the following year
Participants are entitled to a deferral to the following year (2025), provided they purchased the Change of Heart Policy. This Policy is only valid if purchased at the time of entry and cannot be added afterwards.
Participants who purchased the Change of Heart Policy will have the option to either receive an entry fee refund OR this deferral option. You will need to notify us in writing no later than one hour prior to the advertised start time.
The entry fee/sub event will be the only thing that is transferred to the following year, and you will not be able to change this once it has been actioned on the entry. Further conditions can be found in the Terms and Conditions of entry under section 7 HERE.

Transfers
Participants can transfer their entry to another rider, up until midnight 31st July 2024.
To transfer your entry, you will need to email us at backroads@theeventteam.com.au. We will need the new persons email and name. An email will then be sent to the new person to claim the entry and pay the transfer fee.
Their entry will be accepted once they complete the entry form and pay the transfer fee.
Please note that the original entry fee will not be refunded.
Please note that only registered participants will be permitted to take part in the event. If you can no longer participate, please ensure that you withdraw or transfer your entry to someone else. Participating under someone else’s entry is very dangerous and can jeopardise the future of the event.
