Backroads offers riders the choice of four distances, making it perfect for those of all ages and abilities.

100 Mile (160km) Big Canola

The 100 Mile (160km) Big Canola is the main event, the pinnacle of Backroads. It gives riders access to the most picturesque parts of the region, taking them through canola lined roads, private farmlands and if we’re lucky, may even include some small water crossings. Those taking part in the 100 Mile (160km) Big Canola can be guaranteed the ultimate challenge, but will be rewarded with the ultimate reward.

The minimum age of the 100 Mile (160km) Big Canola is 19 years.

100km Fields of Gold

The 100km Fields of Gold is the perfect distance for those riders looking to challenge themselves with a triple digit ride but aren’t quite up to the challenge of the 100 Mile (160km) Big Canola. Riders will still experience the same canola lined roads and parts of private farmland, but they’ll be left with enough in the tank to attend the post race celebrations.

The minimum age of the 100km Fields of Gold is 19 years.

60km Lupin Loop

The 60km Lupin Loop is great for riders looking for a more varied gravel experience, but who aren’t quite up for challenge of a triple distance ride. The course offers various terrain which will keep riders entertained and take them through rolling hills and into the golden fields of canola. Depending on the weather, riders may also experience a water crossing or two.

The minimum age of the 60km Lupin Loop is 17 years.

Please note that eBikes are permitted in this distance.

10km Gravel Groms

The 10km Gravel Groms is designed for those younger riders who are wanting to get in on the action, but aren’t quite old enough or ready enough for the longer rides. It doesn’t compromise on the enjoyment factor and makes sure riders still experience those spectacular views.
